Small pieces take a single session of a few hours. Portraits and medium work usually need one full day. Sleeves, back pieces and large-scale realism are built over multiple sessions, spaced a few weeks apart to let the skin heal between sittings.
Realism involves long, detailed sessions, so some discomfort is normal — placement matters more than style. A topical numbing cream is welcome; let Giuseppe know in advance so the session can be planned around it.
Cover-ups and reworks are considered case by case and depend on the existing tattoo's size, color and age. Send a clear photo with your enquiry and Giuseppe will tell you honestly whether realism is the right solution.
Yes — one complimentary touch-up within 90 days for tattoos that need minor adjustment after healing, provided aftercare was followed. Touch-ups outside that window are charged at the session minimum.

Good healing is part of the work. Realism lives on fine contrast and soft gradients — how you care for it in the first month decides how sharp it stays for years.
Leave the covering on for the time Giuseppe tells you. Wash your hands, remove it gently, wash with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap, and pat dry with a clean paper towel — never rub.
Wash 2–3 times a day and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free balm — less is more. Some plasma, ink and redness is normal.
Flaking and light scabbing begin. Do not pick, scratch or peel — that pulls ink out and is the #1 cause of patchy realism. It may look cloudy as it heals; this is temporary.
The surface heals while the skin settles underneath. Keep it moisturized, and once healed always use SPF 30+ — sun fades black & grey contrast and color fastest.
Direct sun, tanning beds, pools, the sea, hot tubs, saunas, soaking baths, gym contact and tight clothing over the tattoo.
